RES 301 P: Local Area Networks

Coordinator:  Georgios PAPADOPOULOS

Presentation

This class gives fundamentals of local area networks and internet. It gives knowledge of recent technologies used in computer networks.
Students will be able to understand
- how protocols work
- how it is possible to insert a device in a networks
- basic configurations of routers.

Objectives

- to assimilate access techniques to shared transmission support
- to understand the functioning of protocols used in local networks
- to be aware of the problem of network interconnection

Duration: 21h
