Presentation
The introduction of new broadband services like multimedia requires a technological evolution of networks which enables them to satisify the needs of bandwidth and management functions. On top of this deregulation has introduced a context of multi-operators.
The aim of this option is to present the state of the art architecture used in either core networks or access networks and to understand the technical and technical-economic stakes and the reglementation which applies.
Objectives
To be able to understand
- the macro-economy of telecommunications operators, and the influence of reglementation
- the techniques and protocols of networks used either for access or as the operators core network.
