This module covers satellite based networks and starts by highlighting the differences with terrestrial networks leading to unique design strategies. The constraints resulting from long propagation delays are illustrated in terms of impact on resource management. The module keeps a strong focus on leading technologies such as ETSI DVB-S2/RCS2 suite of standards.
