  Presentation

The MRI specialism aims at providing each student with an advanced knowledge in one research domain, focussed but wide enough to enable PhD theses on sufficiently various subjects. Partners of the consortium offer a wide range of thematic tracks, corresponding to the research competences of the different institutions, which are both current and fundamental research and leading-edge technology problems. The tracks may thus evoluate. Each student choses one track when applying.
The 2 thematic tracks proposed in Brest are:

- Human Centred Computer Science (http://master.irisa.fr/master/live/p1Brest_en.html)

- Mobile and Communicating Objects Based Systems (http://master.irisa.fr/master/live/p2Brest_en.html)

These two tracks have been validated by the global Media and Networks Competitiveness Cluster.

Each track is made up of 5 predefined teaching modules of 20 hours each established by a pedagogical team. According to the tracks, one of the 5 modules may eventually be chosen among a set of courses selected from the other tracks.

Notice that the course Knowledge, Models and Paradigms (CMP) is included in the general knowledge part.

Goals :
  • (Course SOCM) to develop knowledge in the field of design of safe , distributed and component-based software systems.
  • (Course SICH) to develop knowledge in the field of human/machine interaction (virtual and augmented reality, simulation)
