Presentation | |
Vision is one of the most important senses for humans to understand their environment and acquire information to make decisions. Vision and images are used in all fields of human activity: not only in everyday life, but also in fields as diverse as industrial control, robotics, medicine, biology or environment. The general context of this course is digital image processing; the goal is to extract useful information for decision making. Two specific field will be presented : biomedical and environmental imaging This course is divided into two parts : a common module F14B202A and two optional modules F14B202B and F14B202C, one of them to be chosen by students. F14B202A is a generic module: it presents a comprehensive processing chain starting with image acquisition, image visualization, image pre-processing and ending with information extraction from images (objects, regions, etc.). The most common methods are presented. Image-based industrial control is discussed in this module. F14B202B (biomedical option) will deal with specific medical image acquisition and formation systems: X-ray, CT, MRI, PET and ultrasound. To complement this training on information acquisition about patients, physiological signal sensors will be presented. F14B202C (environmental option) will deal with specific environmental acquisition and formation systems: remote sensing captors and underwater acoustic imaging. | |
